Prakash Sharan Mahat is a Nepali politician and economist currently serving as a member of the House of Representatives of Nepal. A senior leader and spokesperson for the Nepali Congress, he has held several high-level government positions, including Minister of Finance, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Minister of Energy. Throughout his career, which began during the pro-democracy movements of the Panchayat era, Mahat has been deeply involved in economic policy, governance, and Nepal's peace process. He has represented Nepal on the international stage, including at the United Nations General Assembly, and continues to be a prominent voice in national economic discourse.
