Pramila Jayapal

Pramila Jayapal is an American politician serving as the U.S. Representative for Washington's 7th congressional district since 2017. A prominent progressive, she previously served in the Washington State Senate and was a long-time civil rights activist, notably founding the immigrant advocacy group OneAmerica. Jayapal has held significant leadership roles, including serving as Chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus.
