Preet Gill

Preet Kaur Gill is a British Labour Co-op politician who has served as the Member of Parliament for Birmingham Edgbaston since 2017. As the first female British Sikh MP, she has held various shadow cabinet roles, including Shadow Secretary of State for International Development, and currently serves as a Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State in the Department of Health and Social Care. Before entering national politics, she worked as a social worker and served as a councillor for the Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council, where she focused on public health and child protection.
