Sir Alec Shelbrooke is a British Conservative Party politician who has served as the Member of Parliament for Wetherby and Easingwold since 2024, having previously represented Elmet and Rothwell from 2010 to 2024. A former Minister of State for Defence Procurement, he has held various parliamentary roles, including Vice Chairman of the Conservative Party and Leader of the UK Delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly. Educated at Brunel University, he previously worked in the Royal Navy and as a project manager. He was appointed a Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 2023 for his public and political service.
