Appointed to the position in June 2023 to replace Flavio Bravo, she brings a background in public service and professional appraisal to the legislature. Prior to her political career, Crews worked as a property tax appraiser for county and state government and as a real estate appraiser. She is also a minister at the Historic Tanner Chapel in Phoenix and has been active as a Democratic precinct committeewoman.
