Rachana Banerjee

Rachana Banerjee is an Indian politician, actress, and television presenter currently serving as a Member of Parliament for the Hooghly constituency in West Bengal. Before entering politics, she established a successful career in the Bengali and Odia film industries and gained widespread popularity as the host of the long-running non-fiction television show Didi No. 1. In 2024, she joined the Trinamool Congress and successfully contested the Indian general election, defeating the incumbent candidate to secure her seat in the 18th Lok Sabha.
