A native of northern California, she previously worked as a law enforcement officer in Marin County before relocating to Cody, Wyoming, in 2007. Since assuming office in 2021, she has focused on conservative legislative priorities, including the sponsorship of the Life Is a Human Right Act in 2023, which sought to prohibit abortion in the state. She is also an active member of Wyoming Citizens Against Normalization, an organization dedicated to opposing the legalization of cannabis products.
