Raj Modi is a Zimbabwean businessman and politician serving as a Member of the National Assembly for Bulawayo South. Born in India and relocating to Zimbabwe in 1981, he built a successful career in retail and manufacturing before entering politics. He joined ZANU-PF and made history in 2018 by becoming the first person of Indian origin elected to Zimbabwe's parliament, subsequently serving as Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce until 2023. After briefly losing his seat in the 2023 general election, he won it back in a December 2023 by-election.
