Ralf Hofmann is a German politician and the Lord Mayor of Schweinfurt. Born in 1967 in Werneck, he studied political science at the Otto-Friedrich-University Bamberg. Before his election as mayor, he worked as an independent entrepreneur in event management. A member of the Social Democratic Party (SPD), he served on the Schweinfurt City Council from 1996 to 2000 and again starting in 2014, where he also held the position of parliamentary group leader. He assumed office as Lord Mayor on May 1, 2026.
