Ram Chandra Paudel

Ram Chandra Paudel is a Nepalese politician currently serving as the third President of Nepal since 2023. A veteran figure in Nepalese politics, he was a senior leader of the Nepali Congress and played a pivotal role in the country's democratic movements and the peace process following the civil war. Throughout his extensive career, he served as the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister for Home Affairs. Known for his long-standing commitment to democratic socialism, Paudel spent over 15 years in detention for his opposition to the Panchayat system before assuming the presidency.
