Ramesh Jarkiholi

Ramesh Jarkiholi is an Indian politician serving as a member of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly, representing the Gokak constituency. A prominent figure from the Jarkiholi political family, he has been elected to the assembly six times. He previously served as the Minister of Water Resources and the Minister for Municipal Administration in the Government of Karnataka. Formerly associated with the Indian National Congress, he defected to the Bharatiya Janata Party in 2019, playing a key role in the political realignment that led to the formation of a BJP-led government in the state.
