Ranjeev Puri is an American politician serving as a member of the Michigan House of Representatives since 2021. Currently representing the 24th district, he has served as the House Minority Leader since January 2025. Born in Racine, Wisconsin, to Indian immigrant parents, Puri previously worked in financial consulting and business development for Fiat-Chrysler. A vocal advocate for gun reform and clean energy, he has spearheaded significant legislative efforts in Michigan, including laws to expand residential solar and electric vehicle charging access. He is recognized as the highest-ranking Sikh-American elected official in state legislative politics in the United States.
