Stephanie Young is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Michigan House of Representatives, representing the 16th district since 2021. A graduate of Michigan State University, she was first elected to the state legislature in 2020 to represent the 8th district before moving to the 16th district following redistricting in 2022. Throughout her tenure, she has focused on urban policy and economic reform, notably collaborating with Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan in 2023 to propose a land-value tax plan aimed at replacing existing property taxes. She continues to serve in the Michigan House after winning re-election in 2024.
