Ranjit Dutta

Ranjit Dutta is an Indian politician currently serving as a Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha, representing the Sonitpur constituency since 2024. A member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, he previously served as a long-time Member of the Legislative Assembly for the Behali constituency in Assam, holding the seat across multiple terms between 2001 and 2024. During his tenure in the Assam Legislative Assembly, he served as a cabinet minister in the government led by Sarbananda Sonowal from 2016 to 2021, overseeing portfolios including handloom, textiles, and the welfare of minorities.
