Raymundo Lara

Raymundo Lara is an American politician and educator currently serving as a member of the New Mexico House of Representatives for the 34th district. Before entering the legislature, he spent 17 years working in K-12 education and served as a program coordinator for the Gadsden Independent Schools. Lara assumed office in January 2019 after defeating the incumbent in the 2018 election. In the state legislature, he holds leadership roles including Vice Chair of the House Transportation, Public Works & Capital Improvements Committee and serves as a member of the House Education Committee.
