Reinhard Simon

Reinhard Simon is a German politician and former theater director currently serving as a member of the Landtag of Brandenburg. Born in Rostock in 1951, he enjoyed a long career in the performing arts, notably serving as the artistic director of the Uckermärkische Bühnen Schwedt from 1990 to 2019. He entered politics in 2024, initially joining the Bündnis Sahra Wagenknecht (BSW) before becoming an independent member of the state parliament. Simon has been recognized for his contributions to international cultural exchange, receiving the Order of Merit of the State of Brandenburg in 2011.
