René Pfister is an Austrian politician and trade unionist who has served as a member of the Landtag of Lower Austria since 2018. Born in 1982, he began his career as an electromechanic at Austrian Airlines, where he eventually became the head of the training workshop. Pfister has been deeply involved in labor representation, serving in various leadership roles within the Austrian Trade Union Federation and the Fraktion Sozialdemokratischer GewerkschafterInnen (FSG). In 2025, he was elected as the federal chairman of the FSG within the GPA trade union.
