Rex Rice is an American politician and businessman currently serving as a member of the South Carolina Senate for the 2nd District, a position he has held since 2016. Previously, he served in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 1994 to 2010. A fiscal conservative, Rice has advocated for state-level control over education and environmental policy, the abolition of income tax in favor of increased sales taxes, and the implementation of congressional term limits. He is also known for his support of constitutional carry legislation and his opposition to abortion access.
