Órfhlaith Begley is a Northern Irish politician and solicitor who has served as the Member of Parliament for West Tyrone since 2018. Born in Carrickmore, County Tyrone, she studied Law and Politics at Queen's University Belfast before qualifying as a solicitor. Following the resignation of her predecessor, she was elected in a 2018 by-election, becoming the first woman to represent the constituency. As a member of Sinn Féin, she adheres to the party's policy of abstentionism and does not take her seat in the House of Commons.
