Ricardo Celis Araya

Ricardo Celis Araya is a Chilean politician and physician serving as a Senator of Chile for the Araucanía Region for the 2026–2034 term. He previously served as a member of the Chamber of Deputies representing the 23rd District from 2018 to 2022, and as Intendant of the Araucanía Region from 2003 to 2006 during the administration of President Ricardo Lagos. Trained as a surgeon and obstetrician-gynecologist at the University of Chile and the University of La Frontera, he has also worked extensively in the medical field and as an academic.
