Prior to his Senate career, he served as the 23rd Attorney General of Connecticut for two decades, as well as a member of the Connecticut General Assembly and U.S. Attorney for the District of Connecticut. A graduate of Harvard and Yale Law School, Blumenthal is known for his extensive legal background and focus on consumer protection, antitrust litigation, and public advocacy.
