Richard Spring, Baron Risby

Richard Spring, Baron Risby is a British politician and life peer who has served as a member of the House of Lords since 2010. Born in South Africa, he previously served as the Member of Parliament for Bury St Edmunds from 1992 to 1997 and for West Suffolk from 1997 to 2010. Before his parliamentary career, he worked extensively in the financial sector, including positions at Merrill Lynch and Lehman Brothers. As a peer, he has acted as a trade envoy for the UK government and has been actively involved in foreign affairs, particularly regarding Ukraine and East Asian business relations.
