Íris Róbertsdóttir is an Icelandic politician and educator currently serving as the Mayor of Vestmannaeyjar, a position she has held since 2018. A trained primary school teacher who graduated from the Iceland University of Education in 2004, she previously worked at Hamrasskóli and received the Icelandic Education Award in 2006. Her political career includes serving as a substitute member of the Althing from 2009 to 2013. Initially associated with the Independence Party, she later led the local H-list (For Heimaey) before returning to the Independence Party. She is noted for being the first woman to serve as mayor of the municipality.
