Rob Harris is an American politician serving as a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives for the 36th district. A member of the South Carolina Freedom Caucus, he is known for his far-right conservative political stances. Harris assumed office in December 2022 after defeating incumbent Rita Allison in the Republican primary. He has gained national attention for sponsoring the South Carolina Prenatal Equal Protection Act, which proposed the death penalty for women who undergo abortions.
