Rob Menendez is an American lawyer and politician serving as the U.S. representative for New Jersey's 8th congressional district since 2023. Before his election to Congress, he served as a commissioner for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. A member of the Democratic Party, Menendez has campaigned on issues such as infrastructure investment, gun control, reproductive rights, and the economic needs of working- and middle-class families. He currently serves on the House Committee on Energy and Commerce and holds leadership roles within the Congressional Hispanic Caucus and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
