Representing the 59th Assembly district since 2025, he previously served the 60th Assembly district from 2015 to 2025. Before his legislative career, Brooks was a member of the Ozaukee County Board of Supervisors, serving as its chairman from 2004 to 2013. A real estate manager and former restaurant owner, he has remained in office despite facing controversy in 2018 regarding inappropriate remarks.
