Robert Crumbach is a German politician and former labor judge who currently serves as the Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Planning in the state of Brandenburg. Born in the Netherlands and raised in Germany, he spent decades working as a judge at labor courts in Frankfurt (Oder) and Potsdam. After a long career in the SPD, he briefly joined the Bündnis Sahra Wagenknecht (BSW) in 2024, serving as its parliamentary group leader and as Minister of Finance and for Europe. In 2026, he left the BSW and rejoined the SPD, subsequently assuming his current ministerial role in the Woidke V cabinet. He is known for his advocacy regarding labor rights and his critical stance on certain foreign policy and security issues.
