Rodrigo Paz Pereira

Rodrigo Paz Pereira is a Bolivian politician and diplomat serving as the President of Bolivia since 2025. Born in Santiago de Compostela, Spain, during his father's political exile, he studied international relations and economics at American University in Washington, D.C. Over his political career, he has served as a member of the Chamber of Deputies, president of the Tarija Municipal Council, Mayor of Tarija, and as a senator. Running with the Christian Democratic Party, he won the 2025 presidential election, marking a major shift in the country's political landscape.
