Roger de Groot is a Dutch politician and administrator currently serving as the Mayor of Noordoostpolder, a position he has held since June 1, 2021. A member of the Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA), he previously served as the Mayor of De Wolden from 2012 to 2021 and as an alderman in Raalte. Before entering politics, he worked for nineteen years at Grontmij as a project leader. De Groot gained international attention during his tenure in De Wolden following the discovery of a family that had lived in isolation in Ruinerwold for several years.
