Rolanda Hollis

Rolanda Hollis is an American politician serving as a Democratic member of the Alabama House of Representatives, representing the 58th district. She assumed office after succeeding Oliver Robinson. Hollis gained national attention in 2020 for introducing HB 238, a legislative proposal that would have required men to undergo vasectomies upon reaching their 50th birthday or after the birth of their third child. She stated that the bill was intended as a response to the state's restrictive abortion laws. In 2019, she was arrested on a misdemeanor domestic violence charge in Destin, Florida, though she denied the allegations of a physical altercation.
