Roy Butler

Roy Butler is an Australian politician serving as the Member for Barwon in the New South Wales Legislative Assembly since 2019. Initially elected as a representative of the Shooters, Fishers and Farmers Party, he became an independent in 2022 following a dispute with the party's leadership. Before entering politics, Butler served in the Australian Army and worked in the prison system as a drug and alcohol counsellor, as well as in disability services and for the NSW Police Force. He is known for his focus on regional issues, particularly water management in rural New South Wales.
