Rrustem Mustafa is a Kosovar politician and former military commander who currently serves as a member of the Assembly of Kosovo. During the Kosovo War in the 1990s, he was a prominent commander of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) in the Llap Operational Zone. Following the conflict, he faced legal proceedings and was convicted in 2013 for the torture of prisoners at a wartime detention center. Despite his past conviction, he has remained active in public life, serving as a political adviser to former President Hashim Thaci in 2019 and later securing a seat in the national legislature.
