Russell Bedsole

Russell Bedsole is an American politician and law enforcement officer currently serving as a member of the Alabama House of Representatives for the 49th district. Elected in November 2020, he assumed office on December 7, 2020. Prior to his legislative service, Bedsole held a position as a major in the Shelby County Sheriff's Department and served as a member of the Alabaster City Council. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in criminal justice from Auburn University and a Master of Science in Public Administration from Troy University.
