Russell William Fry is an American politician and lawyer serving as the U.S. representative for South Carolina's 7th congressional district since 2023. A member of the Republican Party, he previously represented the 106th District in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2015 to 2023, where he served as Majority Chief Whip. Fry gained national attention for his 2022 primary challenge against incumbent Tom Rice, whom he defeated after criticizing Rice's vote to impeach Donald Trump. In Congress, he serves on the House Judiciary Committee and has been active in debates regarding foreign policy, including troop deployments in Syria and Somalia, as well as legislation concerning antisemitism.
