Russell Keith Hobby, Baron Hobby, is a British education executive, trade union official, and life peer serving as a member of the House of Lords. Born in Abingdon-on-Thames, he studied PPE at Corpus Christi College, Oxford. Throughout his career, he has held significant leadership roles in the education sector, including serving as General Secretary of the NAHT and CEO of Teach First. In 2025, he became the CEO of The Kemnal Academies Trust. He was appointed a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in 2022 for his services to education and was created a life peer in 2026.
