Russell Vought

Russell Vought is an American political advisor currently serving as the Director of the Office of Management and Budget, a position he assumed in February 2025. A prominent conservative strategist, he previously led the Center for Renewing America and played a key role in the development of Project 2025. Throughout his career, Vought has been a vocal advocate for significant federal spending cuts, deficit reduction, and the implementation of right-wing policy initiatives within the federal government. He previously served as the Director of the Office of Management and Budget from 2020 to 2021 and held various policy roles within the Republican Study Committee and Heritage Action for America.
