Russell Wortley

Russell Wortley is an Australian politician who has served as a member of the South Australian Legislative Council since 2006. A member of the Australian Labor Party, he previously held the position of President of the South Australian Legislative Council from 2014 to 2018 and served as the Minister for Industrial Relations and State/Local Government Relations from 2011 to 2013. Before entering state parliament, he worked as a plumber and gas fitter, served as a union official for the Transport Workers Union, and was a councillor for the Prospect City Council. His policy interests include education, health, industrial relations, aged care, and environmental management.
