Dewey "Rusty" Crowe is an American politician serving as a member of the Tennessee Senate, representing the 3rd district since 1990. Originally elected as a write-in Democratic candidate, he switched to the Republican Party in 1996. A veteran of the U.S. Army Security Agency, Crowe has held various leadership roles in the state legislature, including chairing the General Welfare, Health & Human Resources Committee. His policy positions include support for the death penalty, the display of the Ten Commandments in public schools, and expanded gun rights. Outside of his legislative career, he has worked in higher education administration and the private sector.
