A native of Grand Chenier, Louisiana, he holds a Bachelor of Science in psychology and a Master of Science in resource economics and environmental policy from Louisiana State University. Before his election to the state legislature in 2018, he worked as an assistant planner for Cameron Parish and as an administrator for the Cameron Parish Police Jury. He assumed office in 2019 and continues to represent his constituents in the state house.
