Ryan Palmen

Ryan Palmen is a Dutch politician and administrator currently serving as the Mayor of Horst aan de Maas, a position he has held since April 1, 2019. A member of the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD), he previously served as the Mayor of Hilvarenbeek starting in 2010, where he became the youngest mayor in the Netherlands at the age of 31. Before his mayoral career, Palmen worked as a tax advisor and served as an alderman in Simpelveld. He holds a degree in fiscal economics from Maastricht University.
