Sam Van Rooy

Sam van Rooy is a Belgian politician, author, and former professional cyclist currently serving as a member of the Belgian Chamber of Representatives. Born in Antwerp in 1985, he holds an engineering degree from the University of Antwerp and previously worked as an industrial safety manager. Before his election to the Flemish Parliament in 2019 and his subsequent move to the federal Chamber of Representatives in 2024, he worked as a policy director for Geert Wilders and the Party for Freedom in the Netherlands. Van Rooy is a prominent figure in the Vlaams Belang party, known for his vocal stance on issues concerning Islam, the European Union, and immigration, as well as his active presence on social media.
