Kurt Ravyts is a Belgian politician currently serving as a member of the Chamber of Representatives for the Flemish nationalist party Vlaams Belang. Born on April 24, 1968, he studied religion at the Catholic University of Leuven and initially worked as a teacher. Although he has noted a left-wing family background, he became involved in Flemish nationalist movements during his student years. Before his election to the federal parliament in 2019, he served as a regional secretary for Vlaams Blok and as an assistant for the Vlaams Belang faction in the Flemish Parliament. In addition to his federal duties, he is a councilor for the West Flanders region.
