Sameh El-Hefny is an Egyptian politician, aviation executive, and former airline pilot who has served as the Minister of Civil Aviation of Egypt since July 2024. A career aviator who joined EgyptAir in 1988, he held various leadership roles, including Chairman and CEO of EgyptAir Holding Company and President of the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority. He has also represented Egypt at the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). As minister, he has focused on modernizing aviation infrastructure, expanding EgyptAir's fleet, and implementing a public-private partnership program for Egyptian airports to boost national capacity.
