Samira Marti is a Swiss politician and member of the Social Democratic Party of Switzerland. Born in 1994, she grew up in Ziefen and studied economics at the University of Zurich. She assumed office as a National Councillor in December 2018, representing the canton of Basel-Landschaft. Upon her election at age 24, she became the second-youngest member to serve in the National Council. Before entering parliament, she worked part-time as a waitress.
