Sándor Kovács is a Hungarian politician and Member of the National Assembly representing Fidesz. Born in Mátészalka in 1966, he trained as a diesel locomotive mechanic and railway traffic commercial officer, and later earned degrees in social work and rehabilitation counseling. He previously served as mayor of Géberjén and as vice-president of the Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County Assembly before being elected to Parliament in 2014.
