Sandra Cobena

Sandra Cobena is a Canadian politician currently serving as the Member of Parliament for the electoral district of Newmarket—Aurora, having been elected in the 2025 Canadian federal election. Born in Ecuador, she emigrated to Canada in 2006. Prior to her political career, she worked as a commercial banker at Toronto-Dominion Bank. Cobena holds an executive global master’s in management from the London School of Economics and a double honors degree in global commerce and finance from King's University College at the University of Western Ontario. She currently serves as a member of the Canadian House of Commons Standing Committee on Finance.
