Sandra Simey Olvera Bautista is a Mexican politician currently serving as a Senator of the Republic for the state of Hidalgo, a position she assumed on September 1, 2024. A member of the National Regeneration Movement (Morena), she previously served as a federal deputy in the Congress of the Union from 2018 to 2024 and as a local deputy in the Congress of Hidalgo from 2016 to 2018. Additionally, she held the position of Secretary of Social Welfare and Inclusion for the government of Hidalgo between 2022 and 2024. Olvera Bautista holds a degree in communication sciences from the Autonomous University of the State of Hidalgo and a master's degree in political journalism from the Carlos Septién García School of Journalism.
