Sara Feigenholtz

Sara Feigenholtz is an American politician serving as a member of the Illinois Senate for the 6th district since 2020. Previously, she served in the Illinois House of Representatives from 1995 to 2020, where she focused on health care reform, adoption rights, and human services. A long-time advocate for progressive causes, she has sponsored significant legislation including the expansion of Medicaid in Illinois and measures to protect abortion access. Feigenholtz holds a bachelor's degree from Northeastern Illinois University and completed executive training at the Harvard Kennedy School.
