Sarah Eckhardt

Sarah Eckhardt is an American attorney and politician currently serving as a member of the Texas State Senate, representing District 14 since 2020. Before her election to the state legislature, she served as the Travis County Judge, becoming the first woman to hold that position. Throughout her career, she has been a vocal advocate for public transportation, workforce development, and criminal justice reform, including the creation of the Travis County public defender's office. Eckhardt previously worked as an assistant county attorney and has been active in Democratic politics for several decades.
