Sarah Kaine

Sarah Kaine is an Australian politician, academic, and trade unionist serving as a Member of the New South Wales Legislative Council since her election in 2023. Prior to her parliamentary career, she held an associate professorship at the University of Technology Sydney and served as the Director of Industrial Relations Compliance in the NSW Department of Premier and Cabinet. Her academic and professional work has focused on industrial relations, the role of women in the workplace, and organized labor. Kaine is a member of the Australian Labor Party and has been a vocal commentator on workplace issues and social justice causes.
